Freight Forwarder, Ocean Exports at DSV

• Manage and co-ordinate client specific exports via ocean freight.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Export cargo within metrics
• Shipment invoicing
• Formalize all customs procedures
• Estimates
• Collections
• Client communication
• Hazardous shipments
• Breakbulk shipments
• FCL / LCL
• Groupage containers
• Maintaining warehouse registers
• Tracking updates.

TERTIARY QUALIFICATION

• Qualification in IT or a related discipline Information Technology Certificates - Essential
• Matric essential

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Cargowise1
• Experience in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Office, Word).

JOB-RELATED REQUIREMENTS 

• At least 5 years’ experience in ocean freight exports
• Comprehensive knowledge of the logistics industry
• In-depth knowledge of Incoterms and customs requirements
• Client communication skills
• Knowledge in container / shipment planning and coordinating
• Person must be organized and be able to manage a desk
• Admin skills required to do reports and analysis
• Self-Motivated and deadline driven
• Able to work under pressure when required
• Team player with positive attitude
• Intermediate computer literacy level in MSWord, Excel, Power point, Internet and outlook, Cargo Wise and added advantage
• Own Vehicle and drivers license
• Ability to work extended hours when required
• Ability to travel when required
• Grade 12
