    Head: Client Solutions JG 14 - 15

    This exciting career opportunity is responsible to ensure that Sanlam Savings develops and supports competitive product and client solutions that deliver consistent client experiences and outcomes. This is enabled through leveraging technology and cross functional team / business strengths in the Sanlam group with the objective to deliver robust, profitable growth.

    As a member of the Savings Exco team, this role will articulate, deliver and manage the Retail Affluent Savings growth strategy through competitive product design, client communication and marketing, while contributing to the business strategy.

    Output/Core Tasks

    • Contribute to the Sanlam Savings business strategy and deliverables of the Exco team.
    • Articulate and manage the Sanlam Savings Client Solutions strategy to establish a unique position in our target markets and developing a competitive edge by differentiating our product offering. This includes innovative Product design, Pricing, Marketing and Client Experience initiatives.
    • Ensure the Savings Client Solutions strategy is aligned with the strategies of other Product segments within the Sanlam Retail Affluent cluster e.g. SanlamConnect, Glacier by Sanlam, etc.
    • Influence the strategies of other Sanlam Savings departments e.g. Intermediary Support.
    • Formulate, implement and maintain initiatives that drive profitable growth and increased sales productivity of the Savings products amongst various distribution channels.
    • Pro-actively identify opportunities from big data and business scorecards to address the client needs in a targeted manner and enabling a data driven business.
    • Contribution to and support the digital transformation of the business as part of the Sanlam Group strategy.
    • Effective people management which stimulates high performance and positive team morale.

    Role Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Qualified Actuary

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of Intermediated channels
    • Technical knowledge of recurring premium Savings products like Endowments, LISPS, Retirement Annuities, relevant legislation, etc.
    • Understanding of our competitor products
    • Ability to analyse and manipulate data to identify trends and/or opportunities
    • Technical knowledge about financial services industry and trends

    Experience

    • At least 8 years’ relevant industry experience, of which at least 3 years have been in a senior management position
    • Experience of product design, segmentation, marketing and client experience
    • Relevant experience relating to Savings, Investment products and Funds is required
    • People management experience
