Head of Investment Operations at Alexander Forbes

Alexander Forbes is looking for a Head of Investment Operations to be responsible for all the Operations of the AF Investments business, a division of Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited.
Education and Experience

•  Diploma or degree
•  Minimum 10 years’ Management experience in Financial Services industry
•  Minimum 5 years’ experience in Investment Operations

Key Performance Areas 

•  Defining and driving key initiatives, in order to achieve operational efficiencies;
•  Day to day decision making in respect of all aspects of the business area;
•  Management and Monitoring of Outsourced Service Providers;
•  Oversee all Investment Operations Functions including platform, portfolio and client administration, 
•  implementations, trade, recons and reporting which encompass both Retail and Institutional investments;
•  Contribute to the enhancement and growth of the platform offering;
•  Effective verbal and written communication to internal and external parties.
•  Effective interaction with engineering and digital areas to ensure improved efficiencies relating to processing and
•  Support the Head of Admin in the execution of strategic objectives and management of the business;
•  Build and maintain strategic, financial and operational relationships with key business heads within the group;
•  Give strategic input into the broader business strategy including growth plans, strategic revenue initiatives and new business initiatives;
•  Develop and maintain the desired organisational culture;
•  Continuously enhancing and keeping abreast of industry and trends;
•  Ensure the suitable Risk management and corporate governance framework is in place;
•  Structuring and management of strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•  Ensure optimal functioning of the Investment Opco and execution of decisions made.
•  Implement risk management controls to identify and manage exposure to liability;
•  Monitor error and omissions reporting and root causes, to implement mitigation opportunities to increase operational efficiency;  
•  Ensuring all client SLA’s are met;
•  Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
•  Drive system enhancements and process automation.
•  Create and instil the common corporate vision to the employees;
•  Capacitate business with the required skills, knowledge and attributes
•  Responsible for motivation and development of the team 
•  Provide training, guidance and mentorship to identified key individuals in the business ensuring long term retention
•  Implement effective Change Management Capability
