    Head Of Investo Product

    • Define the vision and strategy for the recurring savings solutions for Momentum and develop an aligned value chain in relation to the organisation’s mandate.
    • Drive the implementation of strategic projects within Investo in line with Momentum Metropolitan's strategic objectives and measure the return on investment of projects and new technology.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage off strategic relationships and alliances to build new savings or growth opportunities.
    • Prioritise product development and manage expectations based on Momentum Metropolitan's strategic objectives.
    • Conduct business viability studies to finalise the product or solution designs.
    • Engage with key stakeholders to present technical aspects, features, benefits and business case of products and solutions.
    • Provide the thought leadership for the creation, implementation and maintenance of savings capabilities, products and solutions in order to diversify product offering and profitability.
    • Drive the optimisation of savings strategies in order to eliminate inefficiencies and streamline operations in order to ensure the customer receives optimal service.
    • Provide the strategic direction for the development of fit for purpose Savings solutions, ensuring that they deliver on the required client experience and support the business to deliver on its business targets and objectives.
    • Provide thought leadership and oversight for new and existing products from concept and launch, ensuring that the various stakeholders and governance processes are incorporated into the product development or maintenance process.
    • Build a leading solutions design, development and management capability.
    • Drive the continuous review and enhancement of Savings products and solutions to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
    • Oversee the ongoing monitoring and performance measurement of products and solutions to ensure the product is managed relative to the outcome defined.
    • Oversee the design of pricing models and business cases for products and solutions.
    • Establish processes and systems to measure the impact of products and solutions and implement corrective action where necessary.
    • Reports on the Profitability of products.
    • Drive a business and competitor intelligence capability focused on informing the development of strategies and tactics that maintain savings as a leader in its industry.
    • Keep abreast of best practices and competitor landscape in order to enhance service offering and delivery.
    • Develop and oversee the competitive pricing strategies to drive short term profitability and long term business, growth and shareholder value.
    • Manage competitor research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the market to develop new products or streamline existing product offerings.
    • Contribute to the marketing processes of the product to ensure the messaging and packing of the product is in line with the business case.
    • Ensure applicable maintenance and testing of financial model including projection of income and expenses and key assumptions. Incorporate insights into financial models and assumptions.
    • Drive the continuous compliance to organisational policies, practices and procedures in order to ensure compliance to relevant legislations and statutory regulations. Engage with the various investment capabilities and stakeholders to ensure products and solutions are robust, scalable and support the OBI philosophy.

    • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility

    • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Actuarial Science or a suitable Business or Investments or Financial degree.
    • If Degree in Actuarial Science should be a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa or Institute or Faculty of Actuaries (UK) (preferred)
    • 8-10 years Product Development/ Management / business experience within the financial services industry
    • 5+ years leadership experience
    • Exposure to portfolio management across a variety of products, markets, distribution and Operations
    • Stakeholder management and influencing skills
