Head of Regulatory Strategy: Global Markets at Absa Group

Opportunity to join global markets team in a highly specialized regulatory role. Will be responsible for the strategy and execution of complex projects relating to regulatory and business initiatives within a fast paced sales and trading environment. Duties will include:

• Analyses and interpretation of current and proposed domestic and international regulations.
• Leading the global markets efforts on proposed regulatory regulations by developing technical positions, coordinating impact analysis and representing Markets internally and externally with peers, industry associations and regulatory policy-makers
• Providing guidance to other teams and influencing senior leaders to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of new regulations.
• Identifying strategic role players and stakeholders and engaging all stakeholders, role players and industry forums to understand changes to strategy as a result of regulatory changes.
• Will act as key advisor to the Head of the Function providing knowledgeable review and recommendations, ensuring that context, analysis and the views of the respective areas are collated, filtered and summarized in a concise manner.
• Play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of change projects within the Regulatory environment
