    Head: Strategy - Wealth Management Local

    Job Purpose:

    • To design and develop the strategic planning process within Nedbank Wealth SA (WMSA) and provide relevant strategic research and analysis; including market trends; new market opportunities; new products; competitor analyses and internal capabilities in order to inform and support successful execution of Nedbank Wealth SA strategy.

     

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Building trusting relationships with Division Exco and WMSA Business Unit.
    • Market team output to Divco and Exco to build the teams brand and source new work.
    • Understand client business needs and manage expectations through communication and consistently delivering quality output.
    • Demonstrate understanding and support of Nedbank Strategy by ensuring all aspects are covered in conversations, debates and development of divisional strategy.
    • Continuously improve planning process at a Divisional and Business Unit level.
    • Optimise work processes to ensure quicker turnaround through planning, gathering, dissemination and integration of all dialogue related to the strategy process.
    • Track team performance by reporting progress against strategic objectives.
    • Continuously challenge the status quo to find ways to improve the planning process.
    • Meet transformation targets during staff recruitment, retention and training and use preferred suppliers
    • Develop and implement action plans to address issues raised in culture surveys.
    • Build synergy across business functions through collaboration.
    • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders through participation in industry bodies, Nedbank committees and forums.
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through regular engagement and knowledge sharing.
    • Build relationships with internal stakeholders by identifying and responding to their business and communication needs.
    • Prepare and maintain Divisional and Business Unit executive reports by ensuring they cover all required deliverables.
    • Champion the execution of strategic projects in the Managing Executives office in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
    • Improve policies and procedures by reviewing and making recommendations for improvement.
    • Identify key areas for strategic improvement by keeping abreast of industry best practices and research.
    • Ensure alignment and achievement of strategy and create a competitive advantage by translating the Nedbank and Business Unit into a Divisional strategy.
    • Develop and introduce a people strategy that will create a culture that drives the Division, Business Unit and Nedbank’s visions and values.
    • Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in the recruitment and selection of senior staff.
    • Develop and implement a strategy to build a differentiated culture of improvement and innovation by analyzing relevant surveys and information.
    • Enable cluster business transformation by leading change management involving systems, processes and people.

     

    Key Requirements:

    • Master's Degree
