    HSE Lead

    SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

    • The HSE Lead works with all site teams in the manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, this position provides the opportunity to join a dynamic team, focused on maturing HSE culture, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental programs at our facilities, working toward best-in-class systems and metrics.

    SCOPE / DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

    • The SHE Lead is in charge of the safety, health environment side of the business, he/she supervises and coordinates work systems to ensure that the company meet the highest compliance standards and that the working conditions of the company are favourable and safe.
    • To lead, develop and maintain Sites SHE management programmes and systems in written format and recording and through face to face contact, communication and team briefing. To support line management in delivering Site SHE objectives while taking ownership in your area of work, you'll also ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues while producing our top-quality products reliably and efficiently within our integrated supply chain.

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree required - Major: Health/Safety/Environmental Science/Engineering
    • A recognized post graduate project management qualification would be advantageous
    • Lean/six sigma certification
    • 3 - 5 years relevant experience
    • Advanced knowledge of OHS and environmental government legislature and codes
    • Ability to understand ISO certification requirements and programs that achieve and maintain certification required
    • Qualified in the field of sustainability and environment strongly preferred-EP
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software (MSOffice) required
