    Human Resources/ Labour Relations Manager

    About the role

    To manage the overall Human Capital function at Bushveld Vanchem (employee relations, talent acquisition and management, performance management, job evaluation, organisational development, remuneration and benefits, and training and development). Partner with the Group Human Resources Director and line managers and add value towards achieving Vanchem as well as the overall group’s strategic objectives. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop Human Capital goals/objectives and action plans in line with a business plan and strategic objectives and efficiently utilise available resources to implement operational plans;
    • Implement the HR operational plan and people management practices:
    • Labour and Union Relations
    • Talent Management (end to end)
    • Remuneration management
    • Change Management
    • HR analytics & intelligence
    • Employee Value Proposition
    • Employee Engagement
    • Proactively manage Human Capital Risk for Vanchem, this includes Employee Relations and dispute resolution;
    • Stakeholder engagement;
    • Management
    • Employee forums/representatives
    • Ensure statutory Compliance and reporting;
    • Reporting - Drive accurate reporting, Human Capital business analytics and management insights that enables the business to make informed strategic decisions;
    • Drive the implementation of company policies and procedures. Ensuring alignment to relevant legislation and continuous communication of same.

    About you

    • Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources/ Labour Law/ Industrial Relations/ Industrial Psychology. 
    • Affiliation with HR professional body(s)
    • Labour Relations Certification
    • Remuneration Management Certification will be advantageous
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Human Resources Management, of which 3 years must be in a Management capacity
    • Mining experience is essential
    • Management experience & experience in building successful teams
