    The Opportunity – IT Support Officer | Cape Town

    ·      The IT Support Officer will be responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure and support to end users. Ensure all local end users requirements, requests, incidents are logged and responded in timely manner via service desk ticketing system.

    ·      Provides support via email, telephone and 3rd party remote software or on-site support if required.

    ·      Collaborates with Tier-2 and Tier-3 support in resolving level one technical issues.

    ·      Diagnosing end -user’s technical issues and provide resolution on timely manner.

    ·      Configure and set up of workstations and peripherals for new joiners on ahead of a time.

    ·      Installation of approved and authorized software to laptops and desktops as per IT standards.

    ·      Document solutions, reports and maintain IT assets inventory.

    ·      Monitor printers, security cameras and other networking devices.

    ·      Ensure a high level of customer service and support to end users.

    ·      Provides induction and train users related to IT equipment and applications.

     

    Your Experience

    • ·      Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role

     

    Your Qualifications & Knowledge

    • Grade 12
    • Microsoft Certified MCSE (advantageous)
    • IT Qualification/ any other formal IT related studies will be advantageous
    • MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
    • A+ and N+ Certification (requirement)
    • Microsoft Support Qualifications
    • Microsoft Windows Server Roles & Functions
    • Administration and support skills

    • Office 365 and Microsoft Technologies
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Network & Telephony
