IoT Devops Engineer at Redheads Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd

The Role

• Redheads Engineering Solutions is Looking for an IIoT DevOps Engineer (A Developer specialised in Mining)

Qualification and Experience:

• Minimum NQF 7 – BSC/BCom/BTech in Information Technology or B. Eng. (Industrial Engineering) or relevant equivalent
• Minimum 5+ Years’ experience in Development coupled with strong PTC Thingworx Development knowledge
• Min of 3+ years in:
• Mining Industry experience
• ML (machine learning)
• IIoT
• Python
• Java SDK
• Strong data analytics 

Outputs:

• Co-conceptualize the MVP’s in terms of its architecture (data/information, security, integration, presentation, technical, business, application)
• Present the conceptual design view for approval to stakeholders
• Estimate the effort for developing, testing and taking into production the MVP
• Implement the MVP by connecting and installing sensors, gateway, integration, aggregation and dashboarding into analytics lake
• Demonstrate the technical viability of the solution
• Scaling the solution to industrialization level
• Cold commissioning the industrialized solution
• Constructing a support mechanism and obtaining sign off from stakeholders
• Budgeting and reporting on performance and progress
• Constructing a backup solution
• Constructing a DRP (Disaster recovery plan) for the solution
