    Senior Manager Business Planning & Marketing

    Job description
     
    Purpose of the Job

    Senior Manager of Parts, Accessories and Service Marketing and Development who must establish Marketing strategies to improve Parts and Accessory sales, in a competitive market.

    Strategy creation and execution

    • Develop Parts,Accessories and Service Marketing strategy according to department’s vision and mission and objectives
    • Ensure that management team is aligned with and support the vision
    • Create measurable goals with a realistic timeframe
    • Regularly track and monitor progress and address deviations where necessary
    • Adjust strategy according changing environment or challenges
    • Take part in strategic session

    Finance

    Set out Parts,Accessories and Service Marketing budget per financial year by determining the amount of resources required to carry out objectives

    Continuously monitor and track actual spend vs budgeted spend

    People Management

    • Weekly meeting with Managers within Parts,Accessories and Service Marketing to discuss contractors career paths, training and deliverablesContract performance objective with each subordinate
    • Assist HR in identifying competent potential employees
    • Liaise with IR with regards to employee relations
    • Ensure development & training of employees

    Replacement Parts

    • Development of Parts Marketing campaigns (seasonal and specific)
    • Create dealer incentive strategies that will increase sales of genuine parts
    • Apply PDCA cycle to constantly improve action plans
    • Ensure that Panelshops adhere to NSA standards
    • Create Panelshop campaigns to improve customer retention

    Accessories and Conversions

    • Development of Accessories Marketing campaigns (New vehicle launches, seasonal and specific)
    • Development of dealer accessory incentives to increase accessory sales
    • Development of accessory range to needs of the African Markets

    Pricing

    Monitor pricing activities and develop strategies to achieve ASBP budgeted profit and ensure price competitiveness

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing OR any related qualification
    • 5-10 years experience in sales and marketing in the Automotive industry

    Background and Knowledge

    • Knowledge on Global Best practice in the industry
    • Knowledge about HR and IR practices and policies
    • Diverse Business Knowledge
    • Understanding of industry trends
