Job Description

• The role's principal function is to take responsibility and accountability for complex cash, trade and custody management implementations within the Country. The client base includes Large Corporate clients, all have exacting standards and expect the highest levels of best practice and standards around implementation.
• The role requires a person who can execute the business strategy for the Implementation function at Country Level and manage the transformation across people.
• The person needs to be an expert in the implementation of cash, trade or custody management mandates and project management, have an understanding of the overall TB business strategy ensuring key programmes (e.g.2x Cash, Switching Propositions) are supported and embed within the function as appropriate. The continuous drive to improve deal cycle time to enhance revenue realisation is key.

Business

• Support the business by developing strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle and help to identify additional cross sell opportunities
• Maintains appropriate commercial balance between needs of clients and long term profitability / efficiency of the business
• Develop robust switching proposition materials
• Ability to provide thought leadership to clients and internal parties in respect to Cash Implementation strategy

Processes

• Embed PMI standards into Project Management team
• Monitor client survey feedback and implement appropriate actions in response
• Ensure consistency of approach and collateral in all locations for which responsible

Risk Management

• Takes responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual and the team play in managing them
• Reference all responsibilities Under Risk Management Framework - both execution and supervisory
• e.g. Act as the Implementation risk control owner under the Group's Risk Management Framework (including relevant Operational Risk Framework ownership for Implementation risk e.g. Liquidity/Market] Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility

Governance

• Deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
• Maintains awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Delivers 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Key Stakeholders

• TB Global Implementation Head on key business strategies
• Regional / Country Cash Head on TB Cash strategy
• Communicates Cash Implementation strategy to business partners such as TB Cash Head, TB Country Head, other functional partners to ensure understanding of Cash Implementation principles
• Works closely with TB Sales and TB Product Management, ITO to align client requirements and priorities

Other Responsibilities

• Embeds Here for good and Group's brand and values in South Africa (country / business unit / team],
• Performs other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
• Multiple functions (double hats);
• Technical inputs during the sales stage including support to RFPs
• Managing pre- implementation (vetting file formats, advisory on technical details) and implementation process (SIT, UAT and PVR)
• Completion of project plan, BRD and documented agreement with client on solution
• Manage and negotiate client documentation during implementation
• UATs and UVTs for major product and system changes
• Post implementation Review (2 months after "go live")
• All project management disciplines as defined in the Global ICM function including the use of iPROMPT system, handover from Workbench, ORF checks etc.
• Testing of new TB products/new functionality/regulatory projects roll out
• Implementation support on M2E / branch cost reduction initiatives
• Support to the Banking The Ecosystem (BTE) deals
• Support to existing Country Solution Activation (SAT) Team
• Continue to stay connected to the ICM function and benefit from training/other best practices
• Country Process Ownership for the sub processes of Document and Deal implementation - inappropriate documents, unauthorised waivers to standard clauses, errors in implementation, communication to wrong recipients
