    Supervisor Health And Safety

    HE APPOINTEE SHOULD:

    • Have Grade 12 or Equivalent
    • Have a Blasting or Trade Certificate
    • Hold a relevant/ valid SAMTRAC / COMSOC or similar Safety qualification
    • Have 3 Years relevant Mining / Process / Engineering/ Training experience
    • Have knowledge of Presentation / Facilitation/ Training and planning
    • Have own transport and a valid driver’s licence
    • Be Computer literate (MS Office and Projects)
    • Have Auditors courses for Safety and Risk Control management
    • Have knowledge of Accident investigation
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

    ADVANTAGEOUS REQUIREMENTS:
    A recognised Degree/Diploma in Safety/Risk at NQF level 5

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    Instrumentation Mechanician

    THE APPOINTEE SHOULD:

    Auto Electrician

    THE APPOINTEE SHOULD:

    • Grade 10 or Technical trade specific N2
    • Certified Competent as Auto Electrician
    • Passed Maintenance Modules on all excavation equipment
    • Valid driving licence code 08
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    Supports the achievement of production performance  
                

    • Obtain daily and weekly work instructions from the Engineering Foreman
    • Prepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements in order to complete tasks
    • Ensure that all resources requirements are communicated to the Engineering Foreman in order to complete allocated work orders 
    • Inform the relevant Supervisor when work is being conducted in the area of responsibility
    • Assist the Safety Officer in completing safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports for area
    • Compile a accurate shift/work order reports
    • Ensure that technical data is accurate
    • Complete requisitions for stock items required
    • Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers
    • Complete the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares used
    • Participate in required meetings including safety
    • Accurately complete role administration requirements
    • Ensure the safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment is conducted
    • Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility
    • Available for afterhours standby duty

     
    Maintain the equipment to standard

    • Ensure that all planned maintenance schedules and work orders are accurately completed
    • Ensure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and specifications
    • Ensure that all safety and legal requirements are carefully followed
    • Identify opportunities to improve operations
    • Participation in improvement projects
    • Support efforts to overcome operational problems
    • Identify risks and threats to the process proactively
    • Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks
    • Ensure that materials and equipment are available for the shifts requirements in the area
    • Communicate equipment defects to the relevant Supervisor or Engineering Foreman via notifications

    • Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn

    Auditor in charge

    THE APPOINTEE SHOULD:

    • Be in possession of a degree in Accounting /Accounting Sciences (NQF 8) or equivalent and relevant experience in internal and external auditing
    • Have completed CA(SA) qualification
    • Have 3-4 years articles plus one year post articles
    • Possess an understanding of Mines Health and Safety Legislation, SOX legislation, PCOAB standards, IFRS, IIA PPF, IIA Standards, IIA Code of Ethics and other relevant legislation that impacts the company or the internal audit profession
    • Proficient in applying and interpreting accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS)
    • Be proficient in the application of Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) Section 404 & 302 requirements and internal control concepts
    • Proficient in determining audit procedures to draw conclusions on control adequacy and effectiveness
    • Proficient in applying accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS)
    • Proficiency in interpreting technical accounting matters
    • Proficient in applying the institute of internal audit standards
    • Ability to apply governance frameworks in the corporate environment

    • Have previous experience working in a SOX environment

    • Have previously worked in a mining environment

    Mine Overseer Operations

    THE APPOINTEE SHOULD:

    • Have a relevant qualification and statutory certificates of competency (Mine Overseer or Mine Manager)
