    Junior Brand Manager

    Junior Brand Manager supports the Brand Manager in setting the long-term brand vision and managing the portfolio and successful implementation of the marketing plans aimed at increasing volume, share growth and OCI in line with the company objectives. The Junior Brand Manager assists in developing the annual brand plan built from market performance, trends and consumer insights to define a clear business problem and articulate product or image solutions, opportunities, communication strategies across omnichannels and consumer engagement plans in compliance with the PMI Marketing Code and government regulations. As a brand champion, the Junior Brand Manager must engage with key cross functional internal teams, stakeholders and third-party agencies

    Education & Experience

    •  College or University Business or Marketing Degree / Diploma
    •  3-4 years’ experience in the FMCG sector
    •  Corporate framework (legislation, policies and procedures, etc.)
    • Principal Accountabilities

    BRAND STRATEGY AND MARKETING PLAN

    • Assist the Brand Manager in developing the marketing strategy for the portfolio categories and brand(s) in line with the organization's long-term business objectives and growth strategy. The strategy should cover all aspects of the marketing mix and be aligned to the latest PMI Toolboxes, PMI Marketing Code and government regulations. The Junior Brand Manager will be required to present brand strategy to senior management team, stakeholders and project team members, as well as working cross

    functionally to achieve objectives.

    BRAND / PRODUCT INNOVATION

    • Responsible for assisting the Brand Manager in the development of product and packaging initiatives by co-ordinating with OC Marketing and Global Brand teams, PPMD Cluster team, legal, market research, operations, finance, sales and distribution to ensure a successful consumer adoption and market launch. Responsible for preparing the appropriate supporting presentations and artwork materials for submission to the PMI Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system approval process via OC committee meetings.

    BRAND MANAGEMENT

    • Responsible for the proper co-ordination of the Commercial Plan implementation using a project management approach to ensure that milestone deadlines are respected and at all time monitor the development status of projects in line with the PMO process. Junior Brand Manager needs to establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal stakeholders, agencies and third parties to achieve the agreed strategy plan. To liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure correct support material quantities are produced and co-ordinate timeous delivery of materials to the regions for implementation of sales cycles with Trade Marketing. To monitor that materials are utilized and that all marketing activities are carried out in line with PMI Policies and Procedures.

    MARKET RESEARCH & INTELLIGENCE

    • Must have a deeper understanding of and regularly track the market performance by utilizing market research, volume and market relevant data reports with the aim of identifying implication of brand performance to develop strategic or tactical solutions to achieve growth objectives. In doing this, the Junior Brand Manager will need to prepare relevant analysis reports to draw insights and conclusions through to the marketing plan development

    BUDGET MANAGEMENT

    • Responsible for the accurate tracking of all Direct Marketing Expenses and Trade and Selling Expenses spend related to approved project budgets in order to maximize return on investment. Accurately monitor and control spend compared to billings in line with PMI Auditing Policies and requirements. Responsible for preparing OB and RF budget submission to ensure that each brand activity receives enough finance resource to fulfill its purpose and contribute to the business growth strategy.
