Junior Designer at Wood

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Designer, with general industry experince for our Mining and Metals office on a short term contract.

Job Objective;

• To learn, understand and absorb the necessary knowledge to become a competent draftsman whose main role is to create technical CADD produced drawings based on given specifications and calculations.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities;

• Technical Design Ability - Under supervision completes technical design work using relevant Wood design methods, Client and Corporate standards and specifications and data in line with Project requirements.
• Produces under guidance final deliverable drawings. Drawings to be produced utilising design sketches as provided and extracted views from the 3D model. All drawings to be produced in accordance with client, corporate and national standards, specifications and procedures as applicable.

Skills / Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Engineering qualification preferred

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• 1-3 years general industry experience, process plant design experience would be an advantage
• AutoCAD experience essential
• Aveva E3D or Smart Pplant 3D experience an advantage ity.
