ROLE DESCRIPTION
BOS is looking for a JUNIOR MARKETING MANAGER to temporarily join our team for a period of 12 months (including a maternity cover for our Marketing Manager for 6 months). Your main objective of this role will be to support and execute the marketing strategy for BOS Ice Tea and BOS Sports in South Africa.
PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for briefing, developing and executing marketing plans
a. Execute SA marketing plans OTIF and within budget with input and guidance from BOS Global Marketing Director and the Country Managing Director.
b. Project Manage activities approved in the marketing plan.
c. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement the projects.
d. Identify additional opportunities to support the strategy.
2. Team Management and Leadership to assist in the delivery of marketing plans
a. Manage external Agencies (PR and Media agencies).
b. Lead, inspire, motivate and manage the BOS Field Marketing team (2 employees) to maximize their individual performance and the overall performance of the business.
3. Lead the Innovation Agenda for BOS in South Africa
a. Lead the innovation process.
b. Launch NPDs in the Market.
4. Responsible for reporting on and evaluating the effectiveness of the marketing activities as well as the panel and consumer data.
5. Lead marketing presentations to inspire the marketing and commercial team in SA
EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
• > 3years’ experience in beverages or FMCG market in a Brand Marketing position.
• Ability to move from strategy to tactics.
• Must have an undergraduate degree or diploma in Marketing. Postgraduate degree ideal.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic team member with the interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Commercially-minded making decisions with positive real-world impact.
• Strong prioritization and time-management skills.
