    Laboratory Analyst

    Essential Duties:

    •  Testing of all material, finished product and stability.
    •  Execution and adhering to deadlines for all tasks allocated.
    •  GMP, Training and Safety.
    •  To record all data accurately and efficiently in duplicate books and on analytical reports.
    •  To ensure analysis is performed per test methods as stipulated or liaise with Manager where method change is suggested.
    •  To inform Lab Manager immediately when any failure is noted, and to follow the retest SOP.
    •  To adhere to stipulated lead times and ensure deadlines are met.
    •  To perform any task allocated to you by your Manager.
    •  To make use of the FIFO Board according to the Company Procedure.
    •  To print all appropriate labels when required.
    •  To capture data on the QC and Syspro 6.0 databases when required.
    •  Conduct the cleaning of glassware with careful regard to conservation of consumable such as detergents, glassware and avoid unnecessary breakage daily.
    •  Ensure GMP standards at all times.
    •  To ensure all equipment requiring calibration in Dept is maintained as per calibration SOP.
    •  To ensure adequate safety measures are maintained within the department and corrective action is taken where necessary.
    •  To ensure SOP training is performed on an ongoing basis and training records are signed off.
    •  To prepare for in-house audits.
    •  Be in a SAHPRA compliant audit state of readiness, and to participate in any audit by an external body on request.
    •  Perform monthly calibration within the 1st week of each month or when required after maintenance/ repair.
    •  Store all equipment in the correct manner to ensure long-life.
    •  Comply with all equipment SOP's and GLP.

    Requirements:

    •  Minimum 1 year as an analyst in the Quality Control Laboratory.
    •  Attention to detail
    •  Manufacturing experience advantageous.
