Your Challenge

• Plans maintenance work according to established guidelines.
• Plans and estimates jobs. Procures necessary parts and materials to complete work orders.
• Plans and updates daily/weekly/shutdown schedules according to procedures.
• Sets work priority and work execution schedule in co-ordination with the Maintenance supervisor and production scheduling.
• Provides work instructions to others in maintenance or oversees projects.
• Alocates safety related permits. Serves as gatekeeper of requests in the management process.
• Facilitates maintenance productivity (ability to schedule effectively, quality of workmanship, utilization of labour, materials and services) to ensure safe and quality work execution occur through clear job plan development that utilizes current knowledge/documentation and improves documentation for future use. Reporting to management on computerized maintenance management system, equipment status, system training needs and initiating capital proposals.
• (According to Work Order feedback analysis report to management and Maintenance Supervisor on needs and proposals of equipment.) Planning, preparation, accomplishment and documentation when users do not have transactional access to the computerized maintenance management system (e.g. Contract/Agency Employees.)
• (Assist new users and trained users of Equipment Asset Management system until fully competent on system.)
• Centralizes data entry into an Equipment Asset Management system to support Work Identification and keeping system current.
• (Do line walk for Equipment Asset Management system to identify all equipment to be maintained, compile operators and maintenance manuals for all equipment. Update Equipment Asset Management system when new equipment is acquired.)
• Effectively execute documentation from computerized maintenance management system off work completed and history recording.
• (Record data from completed Work Orders for quality equipment history.)
• Train Employees without system knowledge and retrain to ensure quality data entry from all users.
• (Ensure quality data on Work Requests and Work Orders feedback for quality use of equipment history for managing purposes.)
• Isolates, identifies and resolves technical problems and repair needs. Task duration estimation.
• Estimates labour and equipment costs, prepares requisitions as required and maintains appropriate maintenance, inventory and repair logs.
• Facilitates toolbox talks. Participate in incident investigation. Facilitate safety training. Develop / review procedures. Lead or participate in audits.
• Perform any other essential duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years.
• Experience in a production and manufacturing environment.
• Preventive Maintenance tasks.
• Attending to breakdowns.
• Administrative tasks.
• Maintain Safety Standards.
• Trade certification (Preferably Millwright)
• Licensed driver.
• "Computer literacy- MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Be able to work independently, but also with colleagues as a team to accomplish satisfactory maintenance outcomes.
• Ability to climb or work in elevated areas.
• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods.
• Ability to operate specialized plant/production equipment
• Ability to operate motor vehicles.
• Ability to fulfil general employment expectations including regular attendance and working specified hours or overtime as defined by supervisor, acceptance of supervision, getting along with others in the workplace, maintaining acceptable standards of office conduct, etc.
