    • Qobo Qobo Essential Oils Incubator is a social enterprise based in the Eastern Cape. It is a sustainable project of the Siyakholwa group - an organisation with a passion to develop rural communities by establishing sustainable projects that address the root causes of poverty. Qobo Qobo Essential Oils Incubator produces Rosemary and Rose Geranium essential oils as well as dried Rosemary.
    • We are at our growth stage and are seeking a dynamic individual to aggressively market our products. This includes creating and executing all marketing and sales initiatives to help increase brand awareness and obtain new clients. The ideal candidate would be an experienced marketer who is able to penetrate a difficult to reach market locally and internationally. They would be adept at both off and online marketing.

    The purpose of the role is to obtain new business, responsibilities include:
    Marketing of bulk oils and bulk products

    • Develop a database of qualified leads including canvassing, cold calling and networking.
    • Obtain appointments with relevant decision makers.
    • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations with prospective clients.
    • Negotiate terms of an agreement and closing sales.
    • Handover of new clients to operations.
    • Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
    • Targeting new business.
    • Maintaining business relationships.
    • Assist with resolving queries in the operations and accounts department as and when required.
    • Build an in-depth market understanding of consumers, local customer brands and market dynamics.
    • Identify market needs and opportunities through external and internal analysis.
    • Develop close relationships with customers at country and regional levels.
    • Engage in customer briefs where appropriate.
    • Ensure that customers know and understand our capabilities.
    • Plan, coordinate and execute key local customers visits in relation to marketing activities.
    • Lead development of the local product or brand concepts and present to target customers to drive profitable growth.

    Marketing of online store

    • Identify new and innovative ways to drive traffic to our website.
    • Use creative channels to drive growth - the scope of this role isn’t limited to organic/paid search, and social.
    • In all of this, analyse and interpret data to make decisions about what does and does not work.

    Social media marketing

    • Creation of the social media calendar
    • Implementation of posts, events, and other activities on all platforms.
    • Increasing website traffic from social media.
    • Increase presence on all social media platforms.
    • Ensure creation of educational content is created and boosted to achieve maximum exposure.
    • Reach potential customers through online targeting.
    • Increase product knowledge through online traffic to the website.
    • Supply all data required for updates and improvements.
    • Ensure updates are carried out.
    • Creation, implementation, tracking and after analysis of Marketing Campaigns to ensure visibility and success of various products.
    • Creation and planning of monthly product promotions.

    Qualifications and experience

    • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in Marketing with a track record of results.
    • A University Degree in marketing, business management or a similar relevant discipline is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
    • Good knowledge of marketing in B2B and B2C environments.
    • A good appreciation of the market landscape and consumer trends.
    • Excellent presentations skills.
    • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
    • Own reliable vehicle with valid driver’s licence is non-negotiable.
    • Excellent inter-personal skills will be required to communicate with staff and clients at all levels.
    • Excellent time management skills must be able to multi - task and spend time with clients to understand their requirements and needs.
