    Marketing/Device Industry Expert

    Purpose of the position:

    Device industry expert will be mainly responsible for improving Africa’s 4G device penetration and achieves 4G user growth. This person will define long-term device import strategic goals in Huawei’s Southern Africa region, builds partnerships in the terminal industry, attracts global industry partners to invest, build factories and sell device in Africa, convince the operators to import the device to accelerate the 4G user growth. Device industry expert will work with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Analyse the African device market and identify the key factors that hinder the rapid development of 4G device in Africa.
    • Find ways to quickly increase the penetration rate of 4G device in Africa.
    • Build and maintain the relationship of global device industry chain partners. Lead the partners to invest in Africa, build factories and sell products.
    • Convince the telecom operators invest on the device to accelerate the 4G user growth.
    • Build partnerships for devices sales channels on the African open market, convince them to cooperate with telecom operators to accelerate the 4G user development.
    • Assist the telecom operators design device development strategy, device subsidy mechanism, product GTM method, bundling sales skills etc.

    Requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or IT or any business related qualification will be an advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years’ solutions sales and/or account management experience involving large, complex projects in Device Industry.
    • Strong consulting skills with excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
    • Advanced interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proven conflict and issue management skills
    • Team-oriented leadership and management skills and a professional attitude to colleagues and clients
    • Experience of working with audiences with varying levels of technical understanding in different cultures
    • Must be presentable, articulate, reliable, committed and resilient
