    Media Manager

    Job Summary
    Lead Media Strategy and Execution

    • Leading the Media Strategy to meet communication objectives set out in the annual Brand Plans and inspire brand differentiation / innovation herein
    • Providing appropriate leadership, guidance, development and coaching to the agency partners; Media, PR and Events agencies as well Brand teams to achieve business objectives
    • Effectively support the Head of Media to substantiate the Brands’ Media, PR and Events strategies by keeping abreast of developments in media strategy, business planning and execution
    • Drive the implementation of Media, PR and Events solutions and continuous improvement thereof to ensure competitive advantage for the brands, driving innovation wherever posisble
    • Deliver results by taking ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management
    • Monitor key expectations and ensure plans and executions consistently align to media objectives
    • Ensure Digital Media executions support the Commercial Team’s e-commerce plans and sustain integration and synergy between Marketing and Commercial.
    • Ensure Dark Marketing preparation is implemented by ensuring the strong visibility of Key Brand Assets is supported through media executions
    • Facilitate adherence to Diageo Marketing and Digital policies and that all media is compliant
    • Manage the relationships with global stakeholders and use this to inspire growth and innovation in local plans and executions
    • Upskill the Marketing Team on media and aid their ability to independently evaluate media effectiveness
    • Report on all Media, PR and Events performance` and use insights to improve competitive advantage
    • Co-ordination of annual Group media commitments through the commitment tracker with media agency
    • Budget planning: Ensure all Media plans and executions are within the set and available Brand Budgets

    External agency stakeholder Management

    • Lead good, solid working relationships with agency partners ensuring collaborations and synergies (on all Media, Creative, PR and Events activity) between the agencies and internal teams
    • Ensure that media agencies are paid timeously on all agency fees and media costs
    • Facilitate utilization of approved Diageo tools (Sprinklr, Moat, Catalyst), ensuring that all ROI learnings are applied to plans
    • Manage media owner interactions and relationships with key partners
    • Ensure all Media, PR and Events agency staff is aware of and trained on all Diageo Marketing Policies
