    Senior Developer

    Introduction

    • Key Purpose to develop and support software that is specific to the needs of the JSE in order to help the business achieve its strategic objectives

    Results Delivery

    • Contribute to crafting of departmental business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of IT strategy
    • Apply cost effectiveness principles in planning and delivery to contribute to achievement of divisional financial targets
    • Provide input into the formalisation of the divisional budget
    • Manage allocated budget by tracking costs

    Stakeholder Relationship Management

    • Build strategic JSE / Industry/ Global network of thought leaders and relationships utilising social media, attending and presenting at conferences and training interventions.
    • Maintain on-going collaborate relationships with business through structured processes and adhoc customer contact in order to ensure proper understanding of customer needs and delivery of appropriate solutions
    • Familiarise self with business requirements by attending relevant meetings with associates (developers, testers, business analysts, project managers etc) in order to share knowledge as well as play the expected role in various projects
    • Comply with the Service Level Agreements by ensuring that applications are developed, implemented and supported in line with cost, quality and timelines

    Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator (Linux-Oracle)

    • Key Purpose To provide Business as Usual (BAU) support activities for all the JSE’s Linux/Oracle/SQL platforms ensuring that the platforms meet or exceed availability, quality, performance and resiliency requirements in SLAs agreed with business stakeholders thus contributing to the mitigation of technology risks for the JSE

    • Ensure the IM’s department’s Linux/Oracle/SQL platforms deliverables are delivered on time, with prescribed quality and add value to the JSE business
    • Apply professional due diligence in everyday delivery to contribute to achievement of departmental performance targets
    • Contribute to crafting of the Compute and Storage team's business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of Infrastructure Management department's strategy
    • Apply cost effectiveness principles in everyday delivery to contribute to achievement of departmental financial targets
    • Participate in the planning, documenting, coordinating and executing the database implementation, upgrades and deployment processes in the development, test and production environments to contribute to the efficiency of Oracle database BAU operations, backups and restores, upgrade implementations and troubleshooting
    • Stakeholder Relationship Management
    • Ensure the JSE’s Linux and Oracle platform meet or exceed the availability, performance and resiliency SLAs agreed with business stakeholders.
    • Liaise with JSE ITD teams to assist with all Linux based applications and systems deployment, implementations and take ownership of troubleshooting issues related to Linux platforms.
    • Maintain relationships with relevant vendors and service providers for production support issues and new improved technologies implementations.
    • Build strategic JSE / Industry relationships of Linux and Oracle infrastructure platforms IT professionals utilising professional forums and networks, industry workshops, seminars, social media, and attending training sessions.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Recongnised Degree in Computer Science
    • Post graduate Degree in IT is preferred
    •  7+ years total IT work experience
    • 5+ years as a Linux systems administrator and Oracle Database experience
    • Hands-on working experience building, installing, configuring, and supporting Linux/Unix/Oracle systems.
    • Experience with native multipathing and ASM volumes. Experience in a financial industry firm preferred

    Microsoft Infrastructure Cloud Specialist

    Introduction

    • Key Purpose to develop Cloud strategy and its implementation plan, in addition to providing Business as Usual (BAU) support activities for all the JSE’s Microsoft Infrastructure Cloud Systems and ensuring that the platforms meet or exceed availability, quality, performance and resiliency requirements in SLAs as agreed with business stakeholders, thus contributing to the mitigation of technology risks for the JSE. This role requires Cloud expertise in order to advise JSE management on Cloud strategy.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
    • Comptia Cloud; Professional Cloud Administrator
    • Microsoft Azure technical certifications, including the MCSE, MCSA, and MCITP certifications.
    • Minimum 6+ years’ experience in Network Security Engineering or consulting, and/or Systems Administration with focus on security (this should include experience with endpoint security, server security and threat analytics)
    • Minimum 7+ years customer facing support experience
    • Minimum 7+ years of Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory administration, SCOM, SCCM
    • Minimum 10+ years of cloud experience with any of the major cloud providers, including cloud security, networking, and migration of multi-cloud or hybrid deployments
    • Experience supporting large and complex geographically distributed enterprise environments with 1000+ users
