    Operations Manager

    Job Description

    • To deliver, through management of processes and assets, quality product for distribution to the consumer according to business requirements, and, in so doing, to achieve or exceed the Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale (QCDSM) targets dictated by the business.

    Define And Implement Departmental Strategy, Aligned To ESIC WCM Practices, Using The Following Tools To Meet Improvement Targets

    Meet site production programme, including QCDSM targets, and ensure adherence to policy and procedures. Ensure alignment of situational, systemic and strategic activities through formal Level 2 and Level 1 Tier reviews Participate in all teams related to principles of the Diageo Policy, Values and EISC WCM program, providing support.

    • Asset Care
    • 5 S System
    • Quality management System
    • Continuous Improvement Teamwork
    • Preventative planned Maintenance Systems
    • Assist in Plan production to optimise productivity and build strategic stocks to ensure supply through peak periods. Health and Safety Champion Comply and maintain Quality Systems such as ISO 9001 & Food Safety (FSSC 22000) Systems and initiatives.


    • Demonstrate detailed understanding of the Packaging Processes, Management systems, Quality, Safety & Environmental systems and Engineering/Maintenance.
    • Understanding of supporting business systems & their role in supporting production improvement.
    • Understanding of commercial implications of production & supply chain management.
    • Excellent leadership capabilities.
    • Possess excellent communication/presentation skills.
    • Demonstrate excellent understanding of team development and motivation issues.
    • Ability to design and deliver training to team members.
    • Strong applied process control and optimisation skills.
    • High level numerical skills and experienced in Word /Excel/PowerPoint
    • High level Diagnostic and problem solving skills in a production environment.
    • Understand and be proficient in information systems, eg., SAP, Entropy, Orbis , Email,DWEBME Microsoft Office, etc.
    • Demonstrate detailed understanding of H&S statutory requirements/responsibilities/obligations..
    • High level of interpersonal effectiveness/ skills.
    • Ideally possess appropriate qualification in management.
