    Operations Manager

    Responsibility:

    • Manage team’s performance against internal goals
    • Align systems and procedures with Operations
    • Co-ordinate planning of logistical movements
    • Ensure operational procedures make provision for all client requirements
    • Manage your team in conjunction with Exco/BUL

    Deliverables:

    • Refresh master daily and save current report, identify deviations from goals and institute corrective action
    • Ensure Standard Navision reports are effectively utilised by Team
    •  Ensure staff discuss client's bookings daily
    • Ensure Navision is used correctly as per procedures
    • Support staff to solve problems and identify solutions with the least amount of impact financially and operationally for Client
    • Attend industry/ service provider meetings to align and identify changes in operational procedures/ systems
    • Improve current procedures, develop and implement new procedures
    • Update relevant NAV master files
    • Identify inefficiencies and bugs in Janus and recommend corrective action
    • Co-ordinate planning activities with transport manager
    • Co-ordinate forecast and shipping line targets with Sales and Commercial
    • Co-ordinate load out planning of multi user cold store
    • Support Logistics Co-ordinator in client implementation meetings to gather client requirements and implement operational procedures with the client (SOP)
    • Identify procedures/ reports to be implemented in order to meet client requirements
    • Plan and budget staff according to seasonal requirements
    • Plan and manage staff leave in accordance with operational and statutory requirements
    • Manage recruitment and retention of the best candidates
    • Develop staff ensuring continuous learning of the Team to improve overall staff competencies
    • Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with company goals, values, strategy and policies
    • Maintain a credible leadership profile in line with the organisational culture both internally and externally
    • Ensure all staff performance are managed in accordance with GoGlobal performance appraisal system aligned with goals
    • Ensure staff have the tools (hardware) and support to be effective and productive
    • Ensure the team is functioning as a productive positive unit, working together well with other departments, while maintaining high work standards
    • Support staff to resolve issues and overcome challenges
    • Manage/Do Brilliant in Basic reports
