Payroll Accountant at Cassel&Co

• Completed Bcom degree / Accounting/Finance

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 – 3 years post articles / commercial experience

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• General Ledger reconciliations
• Journal processing
• Intercompany accounts
• Full Creditors and Debtors function
• Budgeting
• Cash flow management
• Monthly Vat reports and SARS Submissions
• Maintaining fixed asset register

Payroll duties:

• Load payroll +/- 500 employees in two payroll runs
• Check payroll for errors in calculations versus time and attendance system
• Load payments for release of salaries, pension, unions, medical aid
• Do AODs and recons for all salary deductions relating to shortages of staff purchases
• Reconcile payroll clearing
• Loans clearing
• Reports which balance to the General ledger
• Leave days due in days and rand accrual
• Bonus accrual
