    Pharmacist & Client Engagement Manager, CCMDD

    PLEASE NOTE:  This is a 18 month Fixed Term Contract and is based in Meadowview, Johannesburg

    Main Purpose

    CCMDD – Meadowview Operations:

    • Assume responsibility for site compliance with the requirements of the pharmacy Act, Medicines and Related Substances Act, Good Pharmacy Practice and all other relevant statutes relating to pharmacy practice.
    • Ensure proper records are kept and that the Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to. Ensure all staff are trained on processes
    • Assist all personnel with regard to QA and drive QA policies and standards aligned to Pharmacy Council.
    • Attend required meetings with the National CCMDD Teams.
    • Take a leading role in the procurement process management with Provinces in National DOH.
    • Appoint/delegate to relieve Responsible Pharmacist
    • CCMDD Client Engagement:
    • Responsible for key customer/client/support partner and NDOH interactions
    • Focus on patient growth, and value-added solutions to ensure mutually beneficial relationships between DSV Healthcare and NDOH/partners/provinces serviced
    • Coordinate initiatives within DSV Healthcare and serve as first point of contact for non-customer/patient service-related inquiries

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Enforce Good Pharmacy Practice
    • Manage relevant departments and train staff
    • Ensure proper stock control and stock management
    • Take ownership on stock procurement activities
    • Assist with general functions
    • Provide assistance and apply knowledge where needed for general functions to be fulfilled
    • Assist with the SHE program
    • Assist with stock take
    • Ensure Fridge maintenance takes place as per SOP
    • Ensure QA Signatory list is kept updated
    • Ensure key register is drawn up
    • Ensure KPI’s are met
    • Be on call for alarms as per roster
    • Assume responsibility for all QA aspects
    • Identify problems and opportunities
    • CCMDD Client Engagement, will require 50% travel time
    • Ensure mutually agreed upon configured solutions are offered and delivered to NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners as aligned with
    • NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners strategic supply chain drivers.
    • Enhance relationships with current and prospective NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners by leveraging the knowledge gained through NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners business environment and requirements.
    • Proactively identify and manage potential problems/escalations within NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners base with appropriate resolution plans
    • Seek and continuously develop knowledge of our NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners business to build an understanding of their needs
    • Be a trusted advisor to all NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners through consultative engagements and adding value throughout the supply chain
    • Identify, develop and assist with new process/requirement implementation and integration with NDOH and other stakeholders
    • Facilitate an integrated and coordinated approach by DSV to the NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners
    • Ensure that contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met
    • Ensure agreed performance metrics (KPI’s) with NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners are established, measured, maintained and delivered across all levels of the business driving centricity
    • Develop and manage plans to meet the business needs of NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners and DSV Healthcare
    • NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners briefing and understanding of DSV processes, SOP’s and operations
    • Creation of presentation material required for various meetings (District/Provincial etc)
    • Drive reporting and trend analysis based on agreed reporting and KPI requirements
    • Facilitate (coordinate & conduct) training implementation and access on various business platforms used by DSV Healthcare
    • Facilitate DSV and NDOH/Patient/Province/Partners interdepartmental communication and relationships
    • Continuously liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support to enable delivering of solutions and manage risk

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pharmacist
    • Experience in Quality Management Systems
    • Auditing experience
    • Knowledge of MCC and SAPC guidelines
    • Knowledge of Dispensing Systems
    • Intermediate MS Office
    • Tertiary Qualification: BPharm essential

    Electives:

    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 13485 standards
    • Knowledge of the National CCMDD Programme
