Planning and Logistics Manager at Epiroc

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the area of material supply, planning, warehousing and logistics.
• Effective planning of production and efficient utilisation of resources.
• Responsible for analysing the external and internal material flows and defining supply models and controlling parameters.
• Together with other functions, secure and develop both the incoming and outgoing product flow
• Management of inventory holding costs and variances associated
• Implement and manage continuous improvement projects in area of responsibility.
• Effective management of:
   
  • ISO 14001 environmental requirements and Group Sustainability reporting
  • Logistic and S&OP reporting
  • Sales and operations planning
  • Order Management from Order Receipt to Invoicing
  • Integrated transport logistics
  • Shipping processes
  • Physical Warehouse processes
  • Import and export administrative processes
  • Handling of Letter of Credits
  • OSMI Reduction and inventory management
  • Demand and Capacity and planning improvements.

• Promote a safe working environment
• Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to the customer as per production plan and targets
• Manage and provide relevant training to staff
• Implement and manage continuous improvement projects in area of responsibility
• Adhere to Legal, Group, ISO and OHAS requirements
  
   

Experience Requirements

• More than five years experience in Manufacturing company, and three years management experience in a Logistics and Planning environment
• Familiar with 5S, Production Plan and Lean Processes
• Good working knowledge of ERP planning tools and systems
• Strong inventory management skills
  
   

Knowledge / Educational Requirements

• Degree or above in Logistics, Inventory or Supply Chain Management.
• Technical knowledge of steel sizes (raw material grades) and ability to read technical drawing
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office)
• ERP system knowledge
