    Portfolio Manager: Brand & Creative

    • Participates in conceptualisation and implementation of marketing initiatives and strategy.
    • Liaises with various external agencies/suppliers as well as internal divisions within the company.
    • Responsible for stakeholder management and partner relationship management to ensure integration of marketing activities and co-branding strategies with each of the partners.
    • Analyses research results and transform it into appropriate marketing actions.
    • Monitors the market activities and trends of the competitor environment and translates this into appropriate actions.
    • Proactively liaises and interacts with shared service units such as Compliance, Legal, Finance, HR and IT where appropriate.
    • Provides administrative assistance in marketing management process as and when required.
    • Creates visual concepts using computer software in order to communicate ideas that inspire, inform or captivate consumers.
    • Develop the overall layout and production design as per CI for advertisements, brochures, magazines, presentations and corporate reports.
    • Create digital assets for a range of platforms (social, advertising, websites and mobile and email templates) including sizing and versioning
    • Collaborate with members of our digital marketing team regarding typography and layout and format
    • Liaises with global Marketing teams where appropriate and attends monthly conference calls.
    • Assists in public relations initiatives to ensure a coordinated approach of the strategy and communication plan.
    • Responsible for relationships with external and internal print suppliers.
    • Implements and manages quality assurance processes and systems to ensure a high level of accuracy, superb quality of work and alignment with global creative and brand guidelines.
    • Responsible for planning and timeous implementation of brand sponsorship activities and assists with the roll out thereof.
    • Responsible for building and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure delivery of all design requirements within time, costs and deadline commitments.

    Role-specific Technical Skills, Knowledge and Experience


    • Be in possession of Grade 12 (matric)
    • Be in possession of a Diploma or Certificate in creative design work
    • Preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.


    • A comprehensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets will be advantageous
    • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals will be advantageous
    • Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of the MS Suite
    • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite packages, i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
    • Working knowledge of AppleMac platforms
    • Working knowledge of graphic design methodologies.

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role
    • Extensive working experience with Adobe Creative Suite packages
    • Working experience with AppleMac platforms
    • Solid graphic design experience.
    • Extensive experience marketing, brand development, brand identity, advertising and design
    • A proven record of illustrating creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality within a commercial environment.
