    Product Marketing Manager

    What you'll do

    As part of OfferZen’s growth team, the product marketing manager will be the cross functional link between marketing, sales, and product. You will help define the messaging and positioning for our products and be the de-facto expert on who our customers are and what they need.

    You’ll be creating deep knowledge of our customers and market, through customer interviews, competitor research, segmentation analysis and feedback coming from all teams within the company and turning that information into outputs that support our ops and product teams to better serve and sell to our customers.

    • Develop a in depth understanding of OfferZen's market and customers
    • Feed OfferZen’s internal teams with information about our customers, competitors and market in a way that is easy to understand
    • Enable the company facing operations teams with collateral that helps them understand, sell to, and drive usage with our customers
    • Ensure the messaging, positioning and competitive differentiation of our product is well understood by OfferZen teams, well defined and clearly communicated to customers

    You should be

    • Great at interviewing, researching and understanding customers and potential customers
    • Great at understanding customer needs and jobs to be done
    • Great at understanding user journeys and user pains
    • Able to take complex ideas and turn them into simple and easy to understand narrative

    Strategic Partnerships Manager

    We believe software unlocks human potential - whether it’s an iPhone app that helps you meditate or sleep better, a banking app that helps you spend and save more effectively or enterprise software that enables hundreds of thousands of people to work together. When devs build useful software, opportunities are created.OfferZen was founded on the idea that we can massively improve the South African tech ecosystem by empowering software developers to build awesome software.
    Over the last 4 years we’ve managed to make a serious impact - and we’re speeding up: the team has exploded from 4 to 80+. Our company was founded by Philip and Malan Joubert, along with other successful tech startups like SnapScan, JourneyApps and Luno.A critical next step in our journey is to build out an ecosystem of tech partners who want to empower our community of developers. In December 2019 we launched our first ecosystem partnership with Investec - a Programmable Bank Account for Developers.

    Right now we need someone to manage this critical project which will set us on a course to build a rich ecosystem aimed at empowering devs to build software that unlocks human potential.
    What you’ll do
    Initially your primary role will be as Project Manager for our partnership with Investec, helping them to build an amazing product, experience and community for devs and ultimately to deliver on the commercials of the partnership deal. This will set the stage for us to rapidly expand to more devs and partners and accelerate the development of the SA Tech Ecosystem.This is a high growth opportunity and will require a highly versatile individual that can work locally but think globally.

    It will be up to you to:

    • Build and maintain a strong relationship between Partners and OfferZen, starting with Investec.
    • Your priority will be to execute and manage the roll out of collaborative projects with our ecosystem partners.
    • Keep all stakeholders in the project up-to-date through continuous, clear communication.
    • Ensure that the partnership adds value to developers and companies in our ecosystem by managing the design, building and delivery of awesome experiences, products and services.
    • Charting a course for the partnership team and leading them on a day-to-day basis.
    • Establishing systems to closely track and report on progress towards goals.
    • Set us up to grow the partnerships team and the impact of our ecosystem partnerships.
    • You should be
    • Biased towards action with high agency - you get shit done without waiting to be told what to do.
    • Adaptive and eager to learn - you integrate and apply learning quickly.
    • An extreme owner over uncertain and complex business situations by creating clear execution plans and;
    • Able to delegate and lead teams to deliver valuable work on a day-to-day basis towards the fulfilment of these plans.
    • Structured and process-oriented - distilling order from chaos and preventing anything from falling through the cracks.
    • Able to build rapport and trust with a range of people, including: internal team members, Project Steering Committee, Investec team members and executives, partnership team members, devs and and companies.
    • A professional and clear communicator internally and externally, on the phone, in meetings, and email.
    • Strongly principle driven and comfortable prioritising which issues to resolve as they arise.
    • Able to figure out what measurements are critical to drive commercial outcomes for OfferZen and our partners.
    • A systems creation for effectively reporting progress to stakeholders at all levels.

    Strategic Events & Communications Lead

    OfferZen’s mission is to help make South Africa a great place to be in tech so that more people create more awesome software. We believe that the best way to do this is to help empower them to get access to and then make use of the great opportunities in the South African tech space.

    Tech events in our local ecosystem - both our own and those we support, are playing a big role in this: They help people connect, learn from each other and share useful experiences. They are one of the ways in which we execute on one of our core strategic initiatives - to build the best tech brand in SA. That’s why we want to level up our own events and the way we support other events in the tech ecosystem.

    We are looking for someone to help us take our events mission to the next level. You’ll be responsible for the strategic impact, quality of execution and leading a team of high-energy individuals that have built up OfferZen events over the past year and run 9 events across Cape Town and Johannesburg, including our two flagship MERGE conferences.

    We are looking for someone who has experience in translating business objectives into effective mission strategies, building strong relationships with high-stakes partners and who is proactively looking for opportunities to grow into. At the same time, our team needs someone who is keen to get hands-on involved in running the mission. We strongly believe in collaboration and you’ll be deeply involved in everything from ideation over the nitty-gritty of sourcing suppliers and speakers from top tech institutions across the world to executing at the actual events.

    What you'll be responsible for

    • OfferZen runs a series of different types of events throughout the year that add value to our community and build OfferZen’s leading tech brand.
    • OfferZen sponsors, attends and talks at community events in a way that adds value to our community and build OfferZen’s leading tech brand.
    • The events that we run and sponsor during the year help achieve the objectives of the strategic goals of the company.
    • Events have insane impact and ROI for the money we spend on them.
    • Owned and sponsored event successes, costs, and outcomes are reported on accurately and in a transparent way.
    • Events continuously get better based on feedback from strategic stakeholders in the company, attendees, speakers and the community.
    • Team members continuously level up and live their best lives at OfferZen.

    You should be

    • Autonomous and proactive, with the ability to prioritise operational tradeoffs based on strategic initiatives.
    • You’re incredibly organised and great at relationship management- you’ll be working with partners within and outside of OfferZen, getting people excited about what we do, negotiating rates, contracts and managing budgets.
    • You’re able to develop strategies in line with company objectives and direct your team towards achieving them.
    • You’re able to find creative solutions to event requirements and constraints.
    • You’re able to prioritise your own workload well.
    • You’re able and excited to help your team create clear processes, build strong systems and make autonomous decisions.

    Your experience and background

    • Experience in creating & actioning mission strategies linked to business objectives.
    • Experience with running events advantageous but not a must.
    • 5+ years work experience.
    • You have experience in leading teams and coaching people to their greatest potential.
    • Interest in the tech space.
    • You enjoy a high level of feedback and use it to improve yourself and your mission.
    • You’re adaptable and calm. Able to think fast and react to anything that comes your way.
    • You enjoy building and maintaining long-lasting relationships.

    Enterprise Account Manager

    The opportunity

    The Account Management team at OfferZen are the owners of the relationships we’ve built with the 1000+ companies that use our platform to grow their tech teams. We believe that there is still significant room for expansion within our existing client-base, with the acquisition of new clients, and the expansion into new markets, and that strong personal relationships with our clients is integral to each of those.

    Working as an Enterprise Account Manager at OfferZen, you’ll also be exposed to South Africa’s top enterprises, and learn how they operate internally.

    What you will be doing

    As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will be responsible for entrenching OfferZen into the fabric of enterprise organisations. You’ll work with a small portfolio of enterprises with the aim of setting them up to buy a subscription and then helping them successfully adopt the platform. To do that you’ll need to build relationships with multiple stakeholders at different levels and in different business units, and help them successfully hire on OfferZen. You’ll likely need to leverage the full OfferZen offering including hiring, content & events.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Account Planning - mapping out organizations, including stakeholders, teams and hiring needs and create a long-term plan for the account.
    • Onboarding and implementation - onboarding and implementation of OfferZen at enterprises. Including conducting product training customized to their specific requirements.
    • Relationship Management - building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders on multiple levels and departments, including executives and project teams.
    • Reporting -  distilling what’s important to communicate to various stakeholders, and build ad hoc and regular reports using excel.

    What you should have

    • University degree (or dropout for interesting reason);
    • 3-5 years as a HRBP, Talent Acquisition, Employer branding etc OR Full-cycle recruitment
    • Passionate about tech and IT recruitment
    • Highly driven - someone who just wants to execute
    • You are based in or will move to Cape Town
    • Willingness to regularly travel to Johannesburg
