    Production Quality Control

    To act as part of the production team with the collective responsibility for the ensuring that the quality function is maintained within the production environment. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Inspect and approve fabrications and components at suppliers by confirming requirements by conducting visual and measurement checks. If necessitated to reject unacceptable fabrications and components.
    • Inspect in-process production by confirming requirements by conducting visual and measurement checks. Communicating required revisions and adjustments to the relevant departments within the company.
    • Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s) on the finished product reporting any deviations and ensuring that the deviations are correctly repaired/reworked and attended to timeously.
    • Document inspection results by completing reports.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and by following works instructions and report any deviations from these.
    • Update job knowledge by participating in education opportunities and reading technical publications.
    • Accomplish quality and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.

    Requirements (Skills)

    • Matric
    • Quality related post matric qualification and or a qualified artisan from a machining or fabrication environment will be an advantage.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
    • Ability to read and use measuring equipment.
    • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Strong report writing skills and record keeping skills.
    • Able to handle conflict and address differences
