    Regional Manager

    LegalWise seeks to employ a Regional Manager to provide leadership, direction and guidance across the Western Region. The Regional Manager will be responsible for the smooth running and operations of the Western Region Branches and Tupacs. Branches include: Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, Welkom, Kimberly, Bellville, Cape Town & Mitchell’s Plain.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Compiling, implementing and enforcing tactical business plans to foster achievement of strategic objectives set for the Western Region within Legal Services division.
    • Monitoring performance across the Western Region to ensure optimal, consistent performance.
    • On-going monitoring, analysis and reporting of performance across the Western Region.  
    • Identifying and presenting opportunities to enhance technology which enhances operating efficiencies within the Legal Services Division.
    • Monitoring and promoting sound business practices across the Western Region in accordance with relevant legislation as well as establishing and enforcing policies and procedures as necessary.
    • Monitoring and evaluating risks and compliance requirements in collaboration with Internal Audit and Compliance & Risk Departments.
    • Reporting of overall performance across the Western Region to the Executive Officer: Legal Services.
    • Fulfilling a critical role as Health and Safety Committee member.
    • Ensuring the cost efficient and productive operational management across the Western Region.

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in Legal and/or Insurance.
    • A LLB qualification is essential.
    • Proven experience in budget management, human resource practices and operations essential.

    • Strong leader who has the ability to guide and develop a team.
    • Excellent decision-making and conceptual thinking abilities who embraces change.
    • Acts with the highest level of integrity.
    • Highly resilient and stress tolerant.
    • Meticulous, self-driven and independent, who is proactive and takes initiative.
    • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Must be proficient in English and the ability to speak one other official African language is an added advantage.

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be willing to travel extensively.
    • ITC/criminal check will be a requirement.
    • Applicable Psychometric assessment/s will be a requirement.
    • Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
