    Regional Sales Manager Coastal

    Summary of Role

    • Responsible for the implementation of the Retail Strategy and driving safe and efficient operations, above average business performance through leading a team of Territory Managers and liaising with relevant stakeholders. Execution of the Retail turnaround and growth initiatives, maximizing profitability and gross margin in line with the Business Plan. Building a motivated and high-performing Retail Sales team that maximizes business opportunity across the Astron Energy enterprise value chain and in the market place. Manages and develops a team of Territory Managers to ensure effective execution of programs and initiatives consistent with the growth strategy.


    P&L and Financial Responsibility

    • Ownership and management of the Retail P&L for the Coastal region.
    • Responsible for the delivery of sales KPI’s including non-fuel income.
    • Identify GM improvement opportunities across the region.

     Operational Responsibility

    • Responsible for the Coastal Retail business performance. Key performance metrics include Safety, Financial, and Operational targets, including Customer First Scores, Customer Satisfaction and Image Stewardship.
    • Responsible for leading initiatives aimed at profitably growing the retail business as well as maximize the enterprise value of AE business.
    • Responsible for nurturing and developing a culture of operational excellence and teamwork to ensure targets are met and exceeded.

     OE and Compliance

    • Implements and monitors Corporate OE safety standards and programs across the Coastal Retail Network (staff and customers). Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with the OE/HES Corporate standards and incorporates into daily execution guidelines.
    • Actively participates in all Audits in the area and responsible for ensuring all Audit findings are attended to and identified gaps are closed in a timely manner.

    Strategic Direction and Leadership – The incumbent will participate as a cross-functional leader to set local

    • Strategy and tactics.
    • OE and compliance expectations.
    • Competitive financial performance expectations.
    • People strategy

    Organizational Capability

    • The incumbent requires the capability to build a strong team. The incumbent will Role Model the new leadership behaviours. Builds organizational capability and creates capacity for change for the organization. Ensures that all employees under his/her responsibility understand and fulfil their compliance obligations


    • Successful incumbents should have a Post-Graduate Sales & Marketing/Commercial degree/qualification with at least 5 – 10 years of business operations and sales experience
