    Research Consultant

    Role Description

    As the research consultant, you’ll support a team of recruitment consultants using LinkedIn and other platforms to source top talent for each role. You need to be a fast learner, able to work independently as well as in a team, and take a proactive approach to your work. You’ll be required to interview candidates from time to time, but your primary responsibility will be proactively sourcing candidates who are best suited for the roles that each consultant is recruiting for.


    • Support recruitment consultants by conducting market research, actively sourcing candidates for jobs, selecting and briefing suitable candidates
    • Manage the LinkedIn Recruiter licence and processes relating thereto
    • Post jobs on LinkedIn as well as other platforms
    • Proactively source candidates from platforms outside of Crayon, most notably LinkedIn
    • Manage and track applications from job posts and advertisements
    • Review and assess candidates’ suitability for required jobs; liaise with consultants to ensure that candidates are suitable
    • Convert applicants to Crayon candidates (meet set target per month)
    • Manage and update the Crayon CMS and related database items
    • Ad hoc new business development activities, i.e. approach potential clients and onboard them
    • General admin, answering of incoming calls, fielding client and candidate queries etc.
    • On occasion, manage full recruitment lifecycle for roles assigned to you


    • Tertiary qualification
    • Experience in a similar role
    • Experience working for a startup would be beneficial
    • Advanced LinkedIn capability (LinkedIn Recruiter specifically)
    • A strong existing network would be beneficial
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
    • Asana experience would be beneficial
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent data processing and administrative skills
    • Detail-oriented and deadline driven
    • Solution-oriented with the ability to think ‘outside the box ‘, but also follow processes
    • Multi-tasker with a demonstrated history of working on multiple projects/accounts simultaneously
