    Risk Manager

    Overall Scope:

    • The main purpose of this role is to advise and implement all aspects of the Group Risk Management Program within the EMEA region through close working relationships with the Corporate Risk Team.
    • Key focus areas include driving risk policies and processes for DRA EMEA, providing hands-on development of risk templates across DRA, verify that procedures and processes are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support.

    Responsibilities:

    • Management and implementation of the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
    • Continually perform regular region-wide risk assessments to ensure that all EMEA risks have been identified, including identifying potential areas of risk vulnerability and provide guidance on how to manage/mitigate such risk.
    • Consult and guide departments, project teams, the Group Risk Manager, the Group Legal & Compliance Officer, and the Group Safety Officer on the establishment of controls to mitigate risks to an acceptable level.
    • Maintain a real-time EMEA risk register which is supported by underlying risk registries within the EMEA business amongst Project Controls and Support Shared Services.
    • Reporting of key risks across the Group, including reporting to the following parties on key current and emerging risks.
    • Maintaining an electronic system to record, analyse, and report on all risks across the EMEA region.
    • Assist in managing key internal and external relationships across the EMEA region.
    • Explaining the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders.
    • Preparing risk management budgets.
    • Assisting in the development of business continuity plans to limit the risk.
    • Renewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals presenting a material risk, from a risk perspective.

    Qualifications:

    • 4-year degree in Finance or Business-related discipline is essential.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years exposure to risk management practices, preferably in a large multinational corporation with operations across Africa or a Big 4 Accounting firm.
    • 5+ years experience in engaging with senior BU leaderships.

    Knowledge areas:

    • Strong knowledge of risk principles, procedures, and best practice is essential.
    • Strong knowledge of risk management systems is essential.
    • Experience in managing key stakeholders, internal and external is essential.
    • Experience in developing strategies and the execution thereof is essential.

    Remuneration:

    A competitive market-related salary, benefits, and incentive structure commensurate with qualifications and experience will be negotiated with successful candidates.
