    RoofBolt Operator

    Job Description

    • The Roofbolter Operator is responsible to operate a mobile mechanized roofbolter underground to the required mining and safety standards. Drill and install roofbolts as per the code of practice.


    Qualifications

    • Standard 8 & NQF – Level 3
    • Plan execution of work orders
    • Application of work standards
    • Quality of work completed
    • Decisions within allocated schedule of work and safety standards
    • Changing tasks and machine settings to minimize the effect of unexpected problems
    • Stop the operation if the working conditions are unsafe
    • Certified competent as a Roofbolter Operator
    • VTS testing suitable grading
    • Valid driving license Code 10
