Purpose of the job
Provide strategic and operational input into stores, translate group/category buying seasonal/operational/trading strategies into selling strategies through effective communication and management of group initiatives in order to optimise opportunities to deliver sustainable profit growth.
Strategic Solution Generation
Translate the buying/trading strategy into the selling strategy to ensure consistent implementation chain store image and to optimize brand equity and customer experience.
Drive integration and partnership with key stakeholders to enable strategy delivery.
Practical execution of seasonal selling/trading strategies through model stores road shows, trade workshops and training of divisional launch teams.
Deliver selling strategy through clear, concise and simple communication tools – Trading Notes.
Design of promotional, trading and implementation briefs – enable store communication.
Enable effective execution of the Real Estate development plan
Enable merchandise integration across all selling formats and business units.
Define and Outline scope of chain initiatives and projects and input into business cases.
Effectively manage projects from inception to completion and review.
Manage chain Capex requirements: Fixtures and Fittings
Actively participate in setting team objectives, goals and agreed ways of working.
Coaching, development and store training in the field through new store openings, road shows, workshops and effective communication
Trade & Promotional performance analysis and reporting (Post implementation review)
Market Intelligence - store
Analyze and translate cluster and customer findings, understanding into buying, selling and trading
Within group/category product reviews, influence product assortments in line with customer and cluster strategies
Conduct store visits to review store formats, catalogues, layouts and effective launch of initiatives
Interpret seasonal macro space allocation per group/category per store to optimize annualized trading densities per group.
Maximize macro space utilization through equipment usage - Drive densification.
Encourage, implement and reinforce the Group's values, leadership and initiatives.
