    SAP Stamping Launch Engineer

    Role Summary:

    • The objective of the Stamping Launch Engineer is to ensure Silverton Stamping programs are delivered on time, on budget and at required quality and productivity levels.

    Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with VOME team and suppliers.
    • Raise Purchase Orders etc. as required for Tooling and Facilities.
    • Participate in tooling reviews and buyoff activities.
    • Assist all Launch and Sheet metal Quality activities.
    • Complete PSW and acquire required customer acceptances
    • Compile and report LQOS (Launch Quality Operating System) metrics
    • Conduct PVT & TVM activities as required
    • Work with both facility and tooling team both within to ensure all launch metrics are delivered.
    • Buyoff tooling at supplier site, ensure timely in plant delivery timing allowing for robust launch and early PSW completion
    • Develop and train LNE teams on all sites to be capable of:
    • Overcoming issues such as splits and wrinkles
    • Improving FPA to better than expected levels
    • Ensuring all tools run at Engineered Cycle Rate prior to production handover.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong trade or hands on background required.
    • 5+ years
    • Exposure to both advanced engineering programs and launch.
    • Prior experience in stamping production and or tooling manufacture.
    • Self-Starter / Initiative

    • Ability to learn and adapt
    • Positive and Find a way attitude
    • Solid technical background
    • Team leadership
    • Ford systems advantageous
    • Tool design experience (skin panel)
    • CNC programming

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • National diploma/degree Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering would be preferential
    • Extensive experience 5 years in stamping tool development
    • Knowledge of CAD systems
