    SC Network Optimization Sr. Manager

    The role will lead the Network Design agenda for AMESA, providing Network design strategy, Network Optimization project scoping & project management, subject matter expertise and capability development, to drive an optimized AMESA Supply Chain network & cost to serve, AMESA SPL productivity delivery of 7%+ AOP, and ensure a healthy productivity pipeline over PSP, spanning manufacturing (MAKE) and logistics (MOVE). The role will focus on;

    • Overall delivery of Network visibility, analysis, diagnostics, and insights to enabled informed leadership decisions on network changes, asset additions/subtractions/relocations, and ideal Cost To Serve, while enabling operational partners to deliver Customer Service, Product Quality, and Operational Efficiency
    • Network Optimization Strategy Development & Roadmap execution
    • Network Optimization project scoping (planned & un-planned), value estimations, prioritization, project management, stakeholder management, and leadership reporting
    • Developing and sustaining field Network Optimization capability & awareness, and capability cascade from Global Horizontal Teams
    • Manage and coach Network Design Planners for better modelling and analysis in Network Design software.

    Key Accountabilities For The Role Include

    • Build & own multi-year network transformational strategies & agendas across AMESA BUs
    • Serve as sector lead to enable annual productivity for the AGRO (MOVE), MAKE and MOVE spend categories, as well as strategic pipeline initiatives, through planned Network Optimization projects, as well as adhoc support to fill gaps.
    • Driving efficiency in overall market operational footprint by balancing Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, and Go To Market dimensions.
    • Pro-active understanding, interpretation, and application/risk management/mitigation of potential Warehousing & Transportation changes, constraints, decrees, and pipeline amendments
    • Define & own the process, Ways of Working, Project Management, Service Lever Agreements, DICE and RACI models, for Network Optimization projects within AMENA
    • Own the AMESA LD&T central Master Data repository, including;
      • Data Automation strategy
      • Analytics & Reporting Strategy
      • Operational, Efficiency, Financial, Sustainability
    • Lead high complexity Network Optimization model building, such as multi-period manufacturing capacities, distribution networks, expression-based constraints etc, & cascade advanced model building capabilities to the broader team
    • Ensure current “baseline” network models exist (AMESA COBO/COSO MAKE & MOVE), to provide network visibility, and enable pipeline initiative development (WHAT IF scenarios)
    • Own the Network Optimization deep dives process, continuously improving the process, executing aligned deep dives and governing execution of action plans.
    • Own the Network Optimization systems & tools strategy, including legacy tool evolution, next generation tool identification, co-own the enabling IT strategy/roadmap, and any enterprise-level system change impacts e.g. SAP
    • Co-owns the Warehousing & Transportation mapping & elements in Network Optimization baseline mapping sustainment, and scenario building concepts
    • Define & own the full scope of potential projects list for the AMESA Sector with productivity ranges, to enrich the PSP pipeline opportunities.
    • Support the success of the AMESA Sector S&OP process through Network-level opportunities, insights, capacities, constraints, and risks.

    Qualifications

    /Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Mathematical Sciences (i.e. Operations Research)
    • 5+ years experience in Network Modelling, Network Design, or Network Optimization environment, using Tier 1 design software - Llamasoft suite strongly preferred
    • 5+ years experience in physical operations experience (Warehousing, Transportation, Distribution, Express), or at least 5 years in a field and multi-country regional capability development role
    • Experience with both PepsiCo Food and Beverage operations advantage, FMCG required
    • FMCG logistics experience in a high-volume shipping environment
    • Project Management experience, with certification preferred
    • 5+ years in a Line Management position, preferably leading technical experts, modelers, or Engagement Management experience from a consulting front.
