Senior Buyer at Bayer

• Local lead in sourcing strategy execution and implementation in alignment with internal stakeholders and Regional/Global Sourcing strategies.
• Manage the day-to-day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/ volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of end-user feedback, follow up on backorders, etc.
• Im plement and enforce processes and policies (CCP 85000) that maximize spend visibility in close cooperation with the key stakeholders.
• Assist strategic sourcing in regional contract development and execution in the countries. Drive implementation of global/regional agreements.
• Facilitate bids, analysis and negotiations for goods and services
• Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of local suppliers and local regulations.
• Manage & develop supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company
• Act as facilitator and ambassador for the procurement function with focus on the larger more complex projects.
• Provide a leadership role in supplier negotiations.
• Contribute, through process efficiency and negotiations of local spend, to the overall cost savings goals.
• Works with stakeholders and leadership teams to implement and enforce polices that increase spend visibility and compliance.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize procurement goals and objectives.
• Assists in the development and tracking of KPI to adapt processes for continuous improvement.
• Helps develop and implement global standards.

Job Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years purchasing experience.
• Understanding of the materials and supply chain management functions.
• Process & Systems minded (SAP, reporting, eProcurement tools)
• Comprehensive knowledge of the source to pay process (S2P)
• Experience in SAP & MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal skills; Able to forge internal customer and external supplier relationships.
• Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization.
