As The Successful Candidate, You Will

• Lead and grow the biodiversity specialty as part of our existing environmental consulting practice
• Have experience with successfully leading biodiversity assessments, ecosystem and reserve planning and biodiversity offsetting
• Experience in biodiversity in a variety of biomes with specialist capability
• A deep understanding of the standards, trends and challenges in the international biodiversity arena with the ability to train and motivate others
• A deep understanding of the requirements of the international lending community in relation to:
• IFC Performance Standard 6
• Critical Habitat Assessment
• Assessment of Species of Concern
• Biodiversity Offsetting
• Ecosystems Services
• Biodiversity Management Plans

You Bring To The Role

• Advanced degree (Masters) in environmental sciences, natural sciences, biology, ecology and/or a related discipline
• Minimum of 10-years’ experience in biodiversity assessments and IFC Performance Standard 6
• A background in consultancy, advisory practice or equivalent background
• The ability to lead, mentor and inspire environmental teams with a focus on growing the biodiversity practice
• The ability to collaborate with peers and integrate with engineering teams
• The ability to engage clients as well as role up your sleeves
• An entrepreneurial spirit with a technical soul!
