Senior Logistics Manager at Tech-Pro

A large mining company is looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Rail, Road and Sea Freight, in Optimization of Logistical Flows and the procurement of Logistics services. The candidate will have extensive knowledge with regards to INCO Terms as well as Operational and Commercial Logistics.
Responsibilities:

•  Develop logistical strategies and operational plans in order to optimize the flow of commodities
•  Ensure maximum allocation of rail capacity
•  Secure procurement of logistic services ensuring quality, price and time is in order with the company strategies and budgets (RFQ’s, Tenders and Contract Administration)
•  Develop and implement information systems with accurate data input that can be used for commercial decisions for the company
•  Compliance, Governance and Assurance
•  Manage, maintain and build customer relationships
•  Develop and implement SLAs between the company and the logistics service providers
•  Develop and implement TCO models and ensure that the targets set (cost reduction) are met accordingly
•  Develop and implement logistics and marketing standards, policies, templated process flows etc.
•  Functional Management

Qualifications & Requirements:

•  BCom Honours Degree or BEng (Supply Chain or Logistics)
•  MUST have a COMPLETED Management Development Programme
•  MUST have extensive experience in BULK Logistics and Rail, Sea and Road Freight
•  8-10 Years’ Experience as a Logistics Manager
•  Operational and Commercial Logistics, INCO Terms and Road and Rail Freight (Non-Negotiable)
