    Senior Project Manager

    The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day planning, management and control of projects. The role may include some people management responsibilities

    Key Accountabilities

    Capability

    • Use of Quality Management System
    • Implement PMI Methodologies
    • Keep abreast of relevant and emerging technologies
    • Maintain technical skills and knowledge in line with corporate direction
    • Contribute to ongoing process improvement
    • Maintain Project Management skills and knowledge in line with corporate direction and PMI best practise.


    Communication and Reporting

    • Develop communication plans for projects, including all communication within projects and with stakeholders
    • Execute communication plan and keep documentation up to date
    • Prepare and distribute project reports (internal and external reporting)
    • Conduct all communications in a professional manner.

    Client & Relationship Management

    • Determine client requirements
    • Develop and maintain business and client relationships
    • Manage customer expectations and contractual issues both internally and externally
    • Participate in customer presentations and capability demonstrations
    • Work with sales team to develop proposals
    • Provide feedback to Marketing/Product Managers regarding Customer requirements
    • Contribute to the development of Case Studies.

    General/Administrative

    • Perform administrative duties as related to the role including reviewing timesheets
    • Comply with company standards and policies
    • Contribute to Improvement of Engineering Capabilities/Processes by sharing knowledge and ideas and making suggestions
    • Provide input to performance reviews of team members
    • Approve leave plans of engineers
    • Approve expense claims and overtime claims

    Experience

    • Commercial/ Technical Diploma or Degree
    • Minimum 5- 8 years in Customer Project environment in the electrical engineering discipline
    • Experience in managing equipment or transactional orders is a plus
    • Cross functional and cross border experience is a plus

    Skills Requirements

    • Excellent leadership, management, communication, influencing, team building and problem solving skills
    • Strong communication skills, effective in a cross cultural environment to foster collaboration toward a common goal
    • Proven leadership skills in project context focusing despite stress and headwinds on business objectives
    • Ability to understand, influence & convince in a complex matrix organization
