    Senior Sales Representative

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

     

    •  Effectively manage the territory.
    •  Maintain and generate product orders from Hospital Pharmacies and related functions on both generic and ethical ranges.
    •  Achieve market share objectives and contribute towards achievement of sales targets.
    •  Plan, implement, execute and monitors sales activities to drive performance on a territory level.
    •  Establishes contact with industry leaders, policy-makers and influencers in order to provide value added solutions.
    •  Formulates strategy with Commercial managers for implementation. 
    •  Actively engage and negotiate with Key Hospital pharmacies in order to drive sales growth on the hospital therapeutic portfolio


    SPECIFIC OUTCOMES / ACCOUNTABILITY

    •  Adhere to budget and expense guidelines by specific territory.
    •  Achieve and exceed key sales objectives as discussed and agreed with line manager. Establish strong business relationships with all key customers to maximize sales growth.
    •  Provide critical feedback towards the commercial strategy and tactics. Feedback to include successes, barriers, market opportunities, issues and highlight key stakeholders.
    •  Cross functional work across all departments to maximize and ensure the hospitals and patients access to products.
    •  Liaise with Commercial Sales Manager to ensure continuous and un-interrupted supply of formulary lines, critical, life threatening products.
    •  Review specific brand performance by Hospital.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    • Assess and identify customer needs continually.
    •  Operational requirements and customer needs are assessed against business plan.
    •  Resources / equipment / facilities are acquired for maximum productivity
    •  All queries are followed up and resolved in shortest possible time within policy framework
    •  Professional attitude is displayed when responding to customer needs
    •  Ensure optimal stock levels at key accounts and seek to maximise the ROI.
    • Review customer services.
    •  Customer issues are dealt with according to customer needs. 
    •  Regular Business Reviews are held with customers to ensure continual improvement. Recommended improvements / changes are developed and implemented.

    CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESSES

    • Manage and co-ordinate all Customers
    •  Ensure effective communication between all channels.
    •  Manage and co-ordinate sales activities and campaigns with all customers.
    •  Reporting on territory performance to management.
    •  Build and maintain relationships with all role players.
    •  Dissemination of important account information to Commercial Sales Manager.
    •  Analyzing trends and changes – making adaptations where necessary to ensure achievement on budget and minimize disruptions to overall plan.
    •  Where necessary, ensure customers have adequate stock holding of all products.
    •  Identify new opportunities.

    Strategic Negotiations

    •  To achieve and exceed key sales objectives as discussed and agreed with line manager. 
    •  Establish awareness and use of the product in the territory. This should include formulary listing, stocking of the product and use in targeted departments. 
    •  Develop Customer Business plans that are cognizant of the strategy for the brand and that drive successful achievement of the territory key deliverables. 
    •  Establish strong business relationships with all key customer groups to maximize sales growth. 
    •  Develop and maintain strategic alliances with senior pharmacy/ hospital management.
    •  Ensuring adherence to new legislations, the marketing code and Aspen’s values.
    •  Explore new key account opportunities.
    •  Strategies need to be continually reviewed and adapted when necessary.

    STOCK REQUIREMENTS

    •  Review Qkliview for stock levels / movement and generate projected orders.
    •  Place order and follow through to delivery of stock.
    •  Keep Commercial Sales Manager informed of new listings and impact on stock holdings including any increase or decrease in sales expected. 
    •  Liaise with the Commercial Sales Manager & Aspen Communications center to address out of stocks and constrained supply or controlled supply items.
    •  Manage product recalls within the company SOP.
