Senior Systems Support Specialist (Tech & PD) at Woolworths

Main Purpose

To partner with our foods Technology and Product Development areas to support their systems and explore the latest innovations in the systems space that could enable and enhance our Food business's ability to achieve its strategic goals and cement its leadership in this space.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full system business support for all Technology and Product development systems.
• Act as the business lead and SME in identifying, planning and executing system enhances and upgrades.
• Conduct problem investigations, identify solutions and see through resolution.
• Represent the Foods Business in all interactions with ITS and other business areas where there is relevance and impacts on Foods Technology and Product Development systems and processes.
• Maintain centrally controlled system parameters and configurations.
• Provide training to new/current employees, Auditors and Suppliers.
• Maintain all documentation relating to training material, system functionality and process guides.
• Partner with Foods Technology and Product Development to identify, explore and scope opportunities for system aided solutions.
• Document all new requirements and ensure IT delivery to specifications
• Perform system testing for change requests and bug fixes
• Identify system issue trends and drive a sustainable solution for common issues

Key Competencies

• Relevant tertiary level qualification in IT Systems or Food Science,
• Solid and proven expertise in corporate systems support and new systems configuration and implementation, preferably from a business user perspective,
• Good insight into the Food Science & Food Product Innovation industry and the systems and technologies that are typically used in that space,
• Above average conceptual, abstract and verbal reasoning ability,
• Analytical thinking and a skilled problem solver,
• Experienced in researching latest system technologies and proven ability in interpreting these and advising your customers on its application
• Enjoy innovating and seeing your ideas come to life and enhance the world of the people and areas you service,
• Are adept at collaborating, working in a team as well as assembling and leading virtual teams,
• Self-starter that takes ownership, is driven to deliver and a proven achiever
