Senior Underwriter at Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited

Provide efficient and effective application of underwriting rules for new business to ensure protection of the risk pool in doing so appropriately rate any risk and communicate effectively with the client both internal/external.

The work you need to deliver

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders and deliver on service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
• All underwriting cases allocated have been assessed in line with Company policy and within agreed timeframe namely Financial Underwriting, Medical Underwriting, Avocational Underwriting & Occupational Underwriting.
• Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
• Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
• Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
• Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
• Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.

Experience and Qualifications

• Matric
• Medical Experience (Preferred)
• Minimum 10 years Underwriting
• R10-15 million underwriting authority
