    You will be working as a Service Sales Specialist and will be the part of Motion Business Area for Service Division based in Modderfontein, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Head of Drives Service and will be responsible for driving the Service Sales Portfolio for Motion Drives products and solutions focusing on Sub Saharan Africa area. You will also be developing and growing the Drives Service Installed base by identifying and leveraging the entire service portfolio, to meet customer needs and providing solutions to built long term customer relationships.

    Your responsibilities

    • Service Sales: Consultative value selling approach by adding value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and value added proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (farming installed base, value selling, coordination of delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
    • Volume and Profit: Selling service portfolio and solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix, value selling and profitability targets for assigned Business Units and Product Groups.
    • Customer Relations: Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of service portfolio offering, and aligning to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
    • Sales Plans: Preparing sales plans using company tools. Following the Division Service Sales strategy, performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
    • Marketing: Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
    • New Market Opportunities: Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
    • Administration: Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, supports collection and project management activities when needed.
    • Offer Preparation: Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

    Your background

    • A Bachelors’ degree Electrical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 3-8 years of service sales experience, selling Drives Service portfolio in the Industry (LV/MV Drives and respective Service Sales portfolio)
    • Requires technical skills and experience with electrical products in order to provide technical support and quotes to our customer base.
    • Work requires an in-depth knowledge the market for Drives/Service.
    • Candidate must be ready for travelling.
    • Must possess good communication and presentation skills.
