About the job

• A Shift Boss is responsible to manage all ProVest operations in the designated operational section he/she is appointed in.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the Site Manager’s production plan.
• Formulate monthly and daily production and safety plans for own section.
• Identify and optimise new Business Development opportunities in own section.
• Adhere to client mine contractual agreements and operating procedures and practices.
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
• Implement sound safety, environmental, health and risk management as well as monitoring and reporting systems for own section.
• Manage all operational initiatives and activities in his/her area of responsibility.
• Ensure sound control over running and operation of equipment, people and financial resources under his/her control.
• Monitor and ensure own section’s safety, production volumes and performance metrics.
• Understand and adhere to all ProVest management policies and operating procedures.
• Enabling operational and management decisions with data and information.
• Managing workload, performance, development, and role clarity of subordinate staff.
• Continuously improve relationships and communication with key stakeholders.
• Continuously improve the section’s operational processes and systems.

Qualification:

• Essential: Blasting Certificate, Shift Supervisor Course.

Experience:

• Essential: 3-4 years’ experience in mining operations.
