    Reports To
    Head of Planning

    The Role

    • As the Retail Operations manager the scope of responsibility covers managing Superbalist inbound stock, from Supplier to the DC, up to and including Stock – on hand.


    Warehouse & Retail Systems
    This role coordinates and supports the following departments:

    • Inform and communicate DC capacity requirements on behalf of Superbalist.
    • To define and execute impactful process improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor and report on supplier conformance, stock balancing & Terminal stocks – and provide suggested solutions, including but not limited to: Job Lots, Staff sales and donations.
    • Coordination and support with Value added Services companies.

    •  

    Studio

    • Collaborate with retail partners to ensure that studio-specific SLA's are met and exceptions reported upon.

    •  

    Catalogue & Inventory

    • Collaborate with retail partners to manage the Superbalist Inventory both in the Warehouse and across other Superbalist locations.
    • This Includes the tracking of physical stock belonging to Superbalist, ATB and Suspended Product monitoring and reporting.


    Retail Operations

    This includes but is not limited to:

    • Inbound Operations Optimisation
    • Service Provider Management – Takealot inbound and inventory control
    • Customer "Not-what-I-ordered" Analysis
    • Supplier Stock Returns
    • Developing Reporting and Dashboards
    • Systems and Data Integrity



    Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

    • Drive company-wide initiatives to improve operational effectiveness as measured by revenue and other KPI's
    • Streamlining operations and assist in building new solutions to simplify business processes
    • Working with key inventory stakeholders to:
    • Accurately track the current physical stock holding.
    • Review locations of stock and the stock movements within the warehouse and from Warehouse to Superbalist
    • Minimise unsaleable stock within the warehouses
    • Identify products that are not available to buy and initiate the system capabilities or operational actions to get the product live or into recovery.
    • Maximise cost recovery of permanently unsalable stock.
    • Minimise the number of orders with the wrong source warehouse
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement activities to produce tangible savings and process improvements

    Skills & Experience

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • A Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification
    • At least 5 years of solid planning and operations capacity experience
    • SLA management experience
    • Experience in producing and presenting high-quality analysis and reporting
    • Exceptional analytical skills in order to investigate, understand and provide solutions to complicated issues
    • Experience of working and communicating with multiple stakeholders at all levels through to senior management
    • Excellent track record of timely delivery on projects
