British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Development Manager to join our team in Heidelberg.
The role of SC Development Manager serves the function on leading the continuous improvement agenda across the SAA markets and managing the 3PL overall performance.
Main objectives of the role are, to develop and implement changes that improve services and technology, optimize flows, minimize waste, and enable three-dimensional improvements business needs, emerging trends, and global initiatives

The main responsibilities in scope (but not limited to) are

• 3PL Performance management
• Driving End to End savings initiative
• Supply chain End to End budget compliance
• Supply chain End to End SLA / KPIs compliance
• Supply chain governance and reporting
   

Key Deliverables
3LP Performance Management

• Mange 3PL monthly/yearly key performance indicators
• Drive and delivery monthly/yearly Cost per mille objective
• Calculate and agree 3PL gain share achievements
• Development savings initiatives across the 3PL scope
• Lead monthly 3PL performance meeting

Continues Improvement and Governance

• Setup systems to coordinate savings initiatives between the markets
• Lead Supply Chain 3 yrs. Master plan (Network review, systems & technology)
• PMO of strategic Supply Chain projects
• PMO of projects that vision reduction of cigarette stock
• PMO projects that vision reduction of the stock of raw material
• Implementation of projects in the areas of planning, factory storage, warehouses and transport including import and export
• Responsible for leading continues improvement projects (network, distributors) on the rest of the Sothern Africa Markets.
• Responsible for standardising methodologies and facilitate project selection within areas
• Consolidate and track initiatives within the area
• Influence co-planning process by ensuring savings are sustained via project owners
• Provide virtual warehouse for documentation control, reference and reporting

Finance

• Manage and report Supply Chain budget (+R300 Mn / yr.)
• Responsible to compile and present business cases for strategic initiatives
• Track and report progress and tracking against budgets and owned projects
   

Knowledge/Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical / Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Finance
• Supply chain Management
• Project management experience
• 3PL management (Third Party Logistics)
• Budget Management (ideally managing above R20.0 Mn spend per year)

Experience

• 5 - 10 Years of experience in Supply chain / Distribution environment, ideally within a FMCG industry
