    Technical Training Programme Manager

    Develops and administers technical training programs, assesses training effectiveness and development needs for the organisation, helps individuals and groups develop technical skills and knowledge, creates training manuals, presents in-person training sessions and virtual training sessions. Oversees and manages the entire technical training program, liasing with external training suppliers for content delivery and compliance. Effectively manages the on-boarding and induction of new technical staff into the business.

    • Relevant IT qualification


    • 5+ years relevant experience
    • Experience managing a small team
    • Experience managing projects
    • Knowledge of LMS systems
    • Familiar with and passionate about the Apple brand and products


    Has the following key responsibility of overseeing all technical training programmes that include web-based and online seminars, printed manuals and slides, group and lab based sessions and training videos. This has the following outputs:

    •  Determining the training needs and requirement for store based support consultants and external customers by meeting with managers, talking with employees, or administering surveys
    •  Reviewing existing training materials produced by third party training companies to determine appropriateness and relevance to the Southern African Apple community.
    •  Creating and modifying coursework ( materials, slide decks and training manuals) to meet specific training needs presented via Training needs analysis.
    •  Presenting in-person and online training sessions inline with Apple specific quality guidelines
    •  Scheduling training sessions, organizing required equipment and technology and managing course enrolment
    •  Monitoring technical training programmes, short course programmes and Senior tech conferences to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and makes updates as required by the business.
    •  Working with store managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments
    •  Managing costs for all programmes, productions, and publications in order to report to organisation executives regarding a return on investment
    •  Specialise in Apple technology and it's technical support, keeping current on the activities, needs and requirements of the Apple technology by attending regular meetings, conferences, Train the trainer events and seminars.
    •  Maintaining and updating partner information and reporting, including the updating off all relevant data to partner portals
    •  Maintaining and growing the Apple Authorised Training Provider year on year
